General Information - Punta del Este<\/span><\/h4>[vc_column_text]Punta del Este is one of the most famous and glamorous resorts in South America. It is located 130 km to the east of Montevideo (capital of Uruguay), at the meeting of the Rio de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean. It is surrounded bybeaches called \u201cBrava\u201d and \u201cMansa\u201d. You can find elegant beach mansions, high rise condos and all kinds of restaurants: French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, fast food and grill (typical Uruguayan food).<\/p>\n

In summer, it is popular among Argentines, Brazilians and Uruguayans, being the most upscale resort in southern South America. In winter, it is very often host to international congresses and conferences.<\/p>\n

The city is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the natural and architectural beauties.<\/p>\n
